Petro Plane Crash Update

At the time of the accident, Lee Arena was at full occupancy at close to 4,200 people. Those who were uninjured were relocated to the Memorial Union.

Fires started from fuel stored in both wings of the plane. The Forbes Fire Department is on the scene. All Topeka Fire departments and ambulance departments within a 50 mile radius have been requested to help.

All injuries and fatalities have not yet been reported. The university will be closed for two days while the scene is secured. Classes held in Petro Allied Health will be cancelled until further notice.
